Got to leave the maxima for four or five months

I've got a new contract job offer in Washington and sadly cannot take the maxima just yet.

I've got to leave the maxima behind to save money.

What are some of the important things to do in order to prevent major damage?

Well I can tell you what I do to mine when I store it for winter (Oct. - Apr.)

1- Disconect battery
2- Put my OEM rims with tires
3- Fill up gas tank
4- Car cover (canvas)
5- Wash & vacuum it

Finally... say goodbye & miss it like hell !!!

I searched, and read a few old threads.

They agreed on using a gasoline additive to a full tank (then drive 20 miles), change the oil with a synthetic, change the transmission fluid and from what I read on the web:
1) Use a vinyl conditioner on the interior plastic to prevent cracks
2) Use white lithium grease applied to weather stripping, seals with a clean rag
3) I don't want to, but I read to spray a little oil down each spark plug hole then hand crank the engine (this will prevent combustion chamber rust).

Anything else?

Original rims and tires.

Don't want my "summer" tires sitting in the same position for 6 months.

You might want to add some gas saver to the tank I can't remember the name of the stuff but it keeps the gas from breaking down while sitting, cuz as it sitts it becomes unstable and starts to lose octane.

you can do all that or you can have a trusted friend put it in his garage and drive it once or twice a week.
