Another hesitation problem

Evening guys,
I was doing so research about a problem that I am having with my 2k2 6mt and I still do not have an answer. The problem I am having, which I have found through my research, is very common—hesitation or lack of power under acceleration around 3000 to 4000 rpms. I had a new MAFS replaced (by the dealer before I knew that I could have done it myself and saved myself $600—duh). I replaced the spark plugs back in November along with the fuel filter. The problem is not has bad as it was before the MAFS was replaced but it is still there. My next step is to replace the ignition coils. Also, over the last few months, I have seen a dramatic decrease in my fuel economy (I was around 24-25 mpg in the city, now its around 20-21 mpg-and I drive her pretty hard at times).

I have just over 67k miles on the car.

Any thoughts? I would like to hear from you guys before I head back to the dealer and have them figure it out (I have had it back there twice and they say there isn’t a problem, everything is running perfect).

Print this out and bring it with you to the dealership.

Call up first though to ask how much they will charge for an ECU Reprogram. It is not a simple 5 minute thing, so the charge is usually just for labor involved + time with the Consult II.

Funny that you guys brought this up because I did take a copy of this particular TSB to the dealer and I was literally given the 5th-degree on where I got this (like it was a national secret that I disclosed). Anyway, I look over my paper work and they did reprogram the ECU (that was the first time I brought it back).
