Leather door panels

Hey guys... was wondering if the leather panels on the doors are removable (not the whole door panel). Are they glued?

Want to change to yellow leather of course...

Thanks for the link... though I have already seen them, and can tell you = Sh*tty quality

I want to cover the original with 100% real quality leather (know someone in that business) and would like to remove that panel to do a better job than just 3M them.

Yea they do look lousy. Theres got to be some upolstry places around to get it done or just do it yourself. Get a steamer strech the leather out nice and tight and staple it on thats how most places will do it. You might be able to get it done by a curtain place they usualy will have the tools to make it happen.

I looked at the FSM and it doesn't show how to remove it you probably need to take the door panel off and see if it's screwed on if not it's probably guled on and you'll just have to pull it off. Good Luck sorry I couldn't be more help

hint: they're not real leather. They're vinyl that looks like leather. The only part of the maxima's "leather interior" that is actually leather is the seating surfaces. Doors, back and side of seats, etc are all pleather....

Where are you going to find a yellow cow anyhow?

The panels on the doors are removable. You'll need to pull off each door panel and on the back side you'll find about 6-8 little metal tab that you'll need to bend outerwards away from the door panel and then they'll pop off.

All you are left with afterwards is a sheet of what seems like thin metal with some padding and vinyl wrapped on it. I recently took off my cloth ones and replaced them with oem leather/vinyl covered ones. It's really easy.
