My deal, so far, is contingent on replacing the tail lights with the lenses from 2001. No word from dealer yet on whether this is possible.

It *looks* plausible, just by eyeballing the shape of the light assemblies, but there may be some subtle change in mounting hardware for 2002.

 

how bout you and i just switch. i got the SE's and would like the new 2002 lights. let me know.

 

Too late for me to consider that - my car is already ordered, and the dealer is already investigating it.

Funny how you like the new lights, even though they are chromy.

 

If it's not too late, get a manual instead. Saves money and is a lot more fun to drive. I got an auto because I didn't know how to drive manual. Biggest regret about my car.

 

I've driven a manual for 25 years. Been there, done that.

Time to let that part of my mind relax. I might be interested again when the cars have neural inputs.
