can this be a tranny problem

Normally when i accelerate i feel my steering wheel vibrate a lil, at first it thought it was my drop and axles, i've raised my car 1/2in higher on the right side and bought new axles but it still vibrates from only that side on acceleration, not to mention that when it shifts (yes its an auto) it hesitates and drags out 1st gear, could it be slowly but surely that my tranny is on its last leg.................. please no lame jokes about auto, this is a forum of thousands, someone had to have one...

if you're over 100k miles, might want to check play in the lower balljoint on the control arms. They really are only good for about 100k miles until they start getting some play in them. Especially on the crap roads that we both drive on...

While there, check the control arm bushings for wearout.

In truth, at 100k miles or so it's not a bad idea to just replace both LCAs with new ones, which will have new bushings and new balljoints all in one...

Power loss could be MAF. Or lack of clutch and one less gear.
You know I gotta give a fellow DC member sh*t man.

Well let us know what you figure out. I would really try the MAF for the power loss...

Well i'm thinking i have problems with my trans.. I've compared it to my cousin's 96 stock GXE.. Unless the less weight makes THAT much of a difference (I do have a heavy *** 2cuF box with a JL12W7 in my car).. The automatic pulls harder in that bish than mine.. Mine probably hangs with it a little bit through 1-2, but 3rd feels SUPER slow.... and when its in 3rd, about 3000-3500rpm, the rpms drop about 300, then catches itself.. and this is at WOT.. Now its starting to do that in 2nd, about 4800-5000rpm... But that could be my VI failing... my car only has < 56k miles
