just springs on a 2k2? (sorry!)

i could search but since its a new car i didnt think it could have been talked about much. if i were to get ONLY springs for the new car, would that be okay? i know new shocks and/or struts would be ideal but thats a lot of $ and like i said in another thread i hate to spend money. ive read posts about this on 4th gens but i thought the answer might be different with a brand new car...and a car with an already 'sport-tuned' suspension. what would be some cons (if any)of not getting new struts with the new springs?

Depending on the springs you choose you could be in for a bit of a rough ride with some not so controlled bouncing.

The question is are you going for looks or performance? If just looks, go for H&Rs as they are softer than Eibachs and ride okay on the stockers.

If you want performance, you gotta shell out for the shocks.

its mostly for looks but i dont want to actually LOSE any performance. thats basically what i was asking. will just getting the springs (most likely H&Rs by the way) leave me with a worse ride than i had before i got the springs? i was hoping it would be the same but i dont necessarily expect that to be the answer. short and simple: will doing this have a negative effect on the ride of the car...at any point?

Go with H&R since they are perfect balance between comfort and performance. They will be fine with you stock shocks.

I noticed a few people on the forum have Progress springs. A little cheaper, a little lower ride height (better profile than H&R's), but same comfort as stockers.

When I get my 2k2, I plan on installing Progess springs.
