PIAA Superwhites
#1
Maybe I was expecting too much, but I was pretty much under-whelmed by the PIAA Superwhites. Good nightime illumination without blinding oncoming vehicles has its limitations. The stock headlights do a reasonably good job, the additional benefits I found in the PIAA's was slightly better, but I'm not sure it was worth the $75 or so I had to pay.

not worth it
the piaa's are good light bulbs to have. but it's not worth the price. it's hot spot is really consentrated so u get a big black spot when u have the lights on. they shouldn't be any brighter because of the bluish purple tint that makes the light seem "whiter" just like putting a flashlight sunglasses. makes the light come out funky but not brighter.

The Plasmas don't seem as bright as the stocks (remember I just had the SWs). I really like the purple hue from them (cuz my favorite color is purple... just ask the people I talk to ).

nooo purple
eh kev did u go to hot import nights?? they already have a purple max. the kenwood one. it looks sooo ugly, just the grill. what kinda supwerwhites do u have? i have the ones that say "performs like a 80watt bulb" but is actually just a 65/55. the way the made it read out 80watts on the light meter was they just moved the fillament inside the bulb to create a even more concentrated hot spot, they then stuck the meter where the hot spot was so it would read 80 watts. if that's what your talkin' about. but if u have a diff 80 watt bulb.. how muhc?/?? i want... and what kinda new h3's did u get? i see you're selling your old ones.

Sorry guys... I had the 80W H4's, not H3's. I had the 80W bulbs that perform like 135/115(?). I have the 65/55 SW H3's. The ones I'm selling are Jane's (she doesn't want to post and get bombarded with emails).
I didn't go to HIN mingo... but I do remember hearing/seeing a purple max. *drool*

no clue
don't know if you can work nor america games with the jap ps2 (same version as the taiwanese) but just to keep this post where it should be..
there's a company that has a transformer thing that jups up the wattage or voltage creating more light. it still utilizes filliments tho.

As far as voltage goes, US is 110V, Taiwan is 110V, Japan is 100V. I have many electronic gadgets bought from Japan and they work fine without a "step down" transformer. As far as video signal goes, they are all NTSC...Unless you are buying stuff from China, Russia, or European countries.
I'm trying to sneak in a PS2 from Japan in October...but what is the point, it will be out anyway!

you've all got me wrong
iknow everything will be able to work, as far as hardware wise. but what i'm asking is, am i going to be able to play american games on the japanese version ps2? for ps1 you would have to get a mod chip to play japanese games on the american ps1. there's no wait list in taiwan. just walk in pick up a box from the stack and pay that's it. oh i think it's cheaper here, didn't chekc yet that's why i might wanna buy it here.
