A damn duck.

A damn duck.
I just need to vent. Yesterday, I'm minding my own business, driving slowly down the street when all of a sudden this damn duck decides to pick its fat butt off the ground and, in what appeared to be an act of vengence for some apparent perceived intrusion into its airspace, fly directly at me.
Fortunately for the duck, it hit my passenger side rear view mirror AND BROKE IT OFF THE CAR. The mirror now dangles by the power cord. No other damage that I can tell.
As far as I know, the duck is ok.

Yeah, that's the company.
Yeah, that's the company.
The ONLY good thing, is I still haven't gotten the passenger side door and fender fixed from the chick that backed into me in the parking garage recently. That should keep the cost down some since they'll be working on that side already.
I must have ****ed off the car gods.

I hope it won't cost you an arm and a leg to fix the mirror (and ding).

lucky....
I took one in a Jeep at 60-65mph. Only thing that saved the passenger from certain death was the a-pillar which took most of the force. it was SERIOUSLY gross. the scariest part was trying to get the jeep stopped because you really arent sure what happened until you can get stopped. It was all just a flash.
luckily on the jeep, the whole assembly was a quick change. I give big birds on the interstate ALOT of room now.

even worse....
Those old Dodge Carvans with the pentagon hood ornament. My father was driving on the highway and a rabbit jumped in front of him. The rabbit jumped and hit the grill and I guess the force of the wind pushed it upward until it got caught the hood ornament and split it open. He came home with a busted grill and blood all over the front of it.
How the hell that rabbit got high enough to hit the grill on a caravan, I'll never know.

About 20 years ago, my father hit a male Moose...!!! At that time, he owned a Pontiac Parisienne, big brownish 4 doors sedan, built like a tank !!!
So one night, on a quiet road, he hit the moose right between the 4 legs. The moose fell and slided on the hood and cracked open the windshield.....The moose died instantly but left all its guts inside the car (about 40 feet of it, few gallons of blood, plus .....). It was a mess, but my dad was lucky and had only minor injuries (few stitches..) BTW, the car was a complete loss (but insurance paid for it)...
