What is the year and mileage on your Max?
just about to hit 117K on my 02 SE. I must say after 100k things went downhill for a while(nothing except regular maintenance until around 107k) Lately its been much better. Keeping my fingers crossed, I want this sucker to hit 200k.
No way to make it better unless you have a time machine, go back in time and prevent the original owner from driving so much.

2000 GXE - 108,000 - bought new.
Salvage Motor w/ 51k under hood.
Original motor had a cam bearing fail to oil and killed it - DEAD.
Valve stem seals were bad on other head. Smoked on start up.
New axles.
3rd set of tires and brakes.
6 new (pink dot) coils
New MAF.

2000 SE 5 speed 56k
replaced MAF
check engine light for oxygen sensor now on....been putting off replacing it
CD player no longer works....using sirius player for tunes
just replaced original tires with michelin pilot sports...luv them
everything else still stock...plugs,brakes etc.
Still pretty much loving this car and I am the original owner
Plastic console trim around the shifter is breaking down or something it's like sticky....guess I will have to repaint or something

Got my '00 SE as a 16th bday present. It was my moms dd since inception. The car had 23k when I got it 6 years ago. It just recently (Monday) rolled over to 100,000. Recorded it on video of course. It now has 100,158. Most of the miles were highway going back and forth to school. I love my car and I hope it never dies 
) Just recently started having things go wrong with her. I think she hit midlife crisis. Had engine light saying fuel too lean. Replaced MAF and had 90k tune up ::cough cough:: 10k too late :-/ (new plus, new belts). Just replaced my drag radials with new nittos last week. Replaced my streets with michelin pilots about 2 months ago. Average bolt ons only. Did I say I love my car? )

Mine is a 2001 SE AE with 134K miles. It runs great and has never left a spot on my garage floor. I can't say that for the Grand Prix GTPs that I have owned. Also another favorite car of mine.
