What is the year and mileage on your Max?
'02 SE 6speed. 123,175 miles. I bought it 6 years and 68k miles ago and in that time replaced a power window motor, a power steering hose, and a radiator. Lol, the window motor was under warranty so no cost there. Total repair costs in that time? Um, about $150! No codes, excellent mileage for the power, and all these years later I still like driving it across this hell hole. That's better than I can say for my Jeeps.
Bought my 03' GXE with 27 miles brand new in the summer of 03'. Currently sitting at 118k and in need of some exhaust and suspension work. Totally pleased with the reliability, but she is feeling dated. It's cheaper to care for than to replace this girl for sure, so looking to research the boards for some much needed tuning to get another 100k!

The suspension has been fairly trouble-free. We replaced the front struts last year. We also had to replace the steering rack around the same time-frame. The year before that, the radiator developed the leaking problem other have had. Replaced that.
The first several years were plagued with the brake shudder/warping/whatever that these cars are famous for. Once we moved to aftermarket discs that disappeared.
Been through a couple of clutches, as you might expect. Had to replace the master cylinder at some point along the line, too. It's on its second MAF. Currently, I'm waiting for a power steering suction hose to arrive from Courtesy. It's leaking. There's some rust starting to develop around the rear wheel arches. We aren't sure if we're going to do anything about it, though. The lights in the right half of the gauge cluster sometimes go out for awhile. Then come back. We live with it. The driver's window is a little grouchy going up and down. But, it works.
We've also had the famous P0420 code practically since we got the car. It's never caused us any problems, though.
I've been very religious about oil and filter changes. I think that's key to keeping any car running. The engine itself has never given us a bit of trouble. It's never been opened. I'm sure I'll think of more things we've done after I post this.
