My brothers got a 2000 SE auto, and its having some starting issues. When he goes to start it in the morning, it starts for a few seconds, and then dies. It only happens ones. The second time he goes to start it, it stays started. The starter it brand new. Anyone experience this, or know what it can be?

Yea, could be. Its never bin cleaned...i don't think.

 

Check the idle air control valve. It may need cleaning. I have a 95 that also had a start-up problem and when I checked mine it was filthy. Don't know yet if it solved my problems as mine is stripped down for upgrades. It's worth checking because it only takes about 30-45 minutes for the whole thing and can only help.
