you get your abs fixed, then light will go away.

The procedure to check and clear ABS codes is in the FSM, BR-48 and BR-49.

another quick question is the "data link connector" and the OBD 2 port the same thing if not where is it, and what does it mean "disconnect the check terminal from ground" its to the procedure to erase the light on the fsm BR-49
thanks

The DLC (Data Link Connector) is the OBD-II port.

The grounding part is assuming that you checked the codes prior (BR-48), if you didn't don't worry about it.

no the grounding part is to erase the code and fsm says

HOW TO ERASE SELF-DIAGNOSTIC RESULTS
(MALFUNCTION CODES)
NFBR0108S04
1. Disconnect the check terminal from ground (ABS warning lamp
will stay lit).
2. Within 12.5 seconds, ground the check terminal 3 times. Each
terminal ground must last more than 1 second. The ABS warning
lamp goes out after the erase operation has been completed.
3. Perform self-diagnosis again. Refer to BR-48. Only the start
code should appear, no malfunction codes.

what does part 1 mean which connector is it? and where is it located ? this is on br 49
thanks

That's what I'm talking about, it's assuming that you checked the codes immediately prior to clearing them. Don't worry about it.

+1

the fact that the light is on means something is broke/malfunctioning. the ABS system does a diagnostic every time you turn the car on.

-every thing in working order = no light

find out whats broken and fix it, the light will take care of itself

Technically it runs the diagnostic every time you go over (?4?) mph in reverse.

ABS light came on for a 2003 maxima SE 6speed, turned out to be the back wheel speed sensor. I hope this information helps.
