whenever i turn the steering wheel all the way to the right or left it makes a load thump and squeak then it stops. i cheaked the wheel well plastic around the wheel and it's all tight. could it be the power steering pump? the axle? maybe the steering column? any help is greatly apprishiated!

 

is it one loud noise or does the noise continue till you straighten out the wheel? because my car made a noise that continued till the straightened the wheel back, it turned out to be the brake dust shield behind the rotor hitting something when the wheel was turned...all i had to do was bent it back

 

is this while u are driving or u just sitting still and turning. i would jack it up and inspect your axles and the cv boot. if u are talking about if u turn your steering wheel all the way to one side and it make a thum its probably casue u cant go any farther and it turned to its max and thats normal.

 

this is when i'm turning all the way and driving. and it happens once then it stops. i'll look into that brake dust shield and give you guys an update.
