Cat Question

i have a 5th gen auto fed spec, if i were to replace the cat with a straight pipe would i get any engine lights or safe mode or anything like that?
me and my friend just removed the cat on his CRX and damn is it loud, im jealous,
i wanted to see if that would be possible with the max without any problems.

you may get the check engine light, but you will not go into safe mode or anything like that. It shouldn't affect performance in any way. But, replacing just the cat without replacing the y-pipe, won't get you a lot of gains....

no problem... since you have fed spec emissions, if you replace the y-pipe and replace the main cat with a straight pipe, you will surely get a check engine light because you will have no cats in the exhaust at all. But it should be no big deal. You could also replace the stock cat with a Random Tech hi-flow cat.... no check engine lights then.....

There is a Cat monitor Hego (o2 sensor) right in back of your cat. If you replace it with a straight pipe, you need to drill and tap a hole for the hego.
