Ok so finally! after like a month (only worked on this on weekends) the car is finally ready to drive!

I took out the axle, put in the circlip which I finally got .. put the axle into transmission and wheel hub, then put the strut into place

By the way - those of you who said to jack up the other side of the car are 100% correct - that made all the difference, if I had did that the first time I wouldnt have torn the new CV (that was boot #1 lol) on the strut

After jacking the car up evenly, everything went in perfectly. Also I put on a new filter for my Injen CAI, new engine oil (mobil 1 synthetic 5w30), new gear oil (redline mt-90) and I also changed the outer tie rod (the rubber boot was busted and the bearing sounded bad)

Amazing to see the car back on the ground... now time to enjoy it lol! The whole experience definitely taught me a lot about how everything works, especially suspension components.

You guys will have trouble with lining up the strut if you have the jack under the lower control arm.You need to floor jack the car from the center cross member that runs under the car from the back of the radiator accros the bottom of the motor.

This thread is almost a year old

He never said anything about jacking it up on the LCA, he just had only one side of the car in the air; the FSB was giving him issues lining up strut-knuckle.

And where you jack it from is completely irrelevant if you're not trying to get yourself killed, and actually use jackstands as you should.

put tranny fluid in. If it leaks, it's not in all the way
he's got it right.

And another tip. Put some cardboard down so if it's not all the way in you don't end up with a oil slick on your garage floor.
