Sunroof issues...

I did some searching, but still came up empty handed. Anyway, my sunroof has been acting crazy. I go to shut it and it gets within 2-3 inches of closing and opens back up. I had a mechanic quickly check it out and he said something about the sunroof working, but the switch being junk. So I'm leaning toward replacing the switch. My question is...does this sound right? Starting off with the switch? Also, where is the cheapest place to find something like that? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

I have replaced my switch.
It is an easy fix.
$36 bucks from local dealership.
Try it. Should fix it. The switch acutally has a pcb with a controller and some passive components on it, it is possible it is shorting out.

Did you do the sunroof reset? Mine has done a similar thing as yours is doing and there is a simple procedure to reset it. If you haven't done that, I'd try it first. The procedure is outlined in your owners manual

Well, I wasn't aware of the reset. I guess I will try that first, thanks. BTW...just in case...does anyone know the part # for the switch?
