Need part# for PO455 & P1448 issues

Well, I've done some research and have an idea, however, I would like a second opinion and maybe even a part number since I am having trouble finding the parts...So I am throwing the PO455 and P1448 codes (Evap system fault caused by defective vent contol valve - vent purge not operating correctly). So what things could this be related to and what part number or LINK could I find that purge solenoid? Thanks...

it's the little valve on the charcoal canister which is located on the drivers side of the car, just left of the gas tank. If you crawl under the car you will see it. You might need both the canister and the valve. Sometimes removing the screw from the plastic canister causes it to crack.

Call Dave B, he will have the numbers, and the cheapest prices for replacement.

i have the same 2 codes p0445 and p1448. Been driving with these codes for like 4 months but hasnt effected anything but my mpg( couple mpg). finally, having the evap cannister replaced at the stealership because i have an inspection due. ive had the codes cleared a couple times with my bros obdII but the codes always come back. unfortunately, it has to be fixed by nissan cuz its emissions. does anyone know how much this cost at the stealership?

Replacing the evap canister and purge valve is actually pretty easy - just a little expensive ~ $200 for the set if you buy parts only from online Nissan dealer. If you are lucky enough to have under 50K miles it might be covered by emissions warranty but I dunno ...

Don't guess you can get by with just the purge valve - which is the part that has failed. You'll never remove it without snapping bolts that mount it to the evap canister. This is too bad since the evap canister is $130. I kinda blame Nissan for silly location of these parts behind left rear tire. Rain, snow, dirt must destroy the solenoid purge valve over time.

Dave B is the parts guy at southpoint nissan, best prices in north america, and 5% discount for members of the org. And he knows all the part numbers. his number is in the 5th gen stickies By the way it is possible to remove the 2 bolts holding the valve to the canister without breaking it. It doesn't crack 100% of the time.

I did this for a friend and the bolts came out fine. Not saying yours will, just saying it is possible

max was brought to garage on fri. i have 78,000 miles on car so wasnt covered under warranty. they replaced emissions cannister and valve purge. total cost...including inspection came to $521. a lot of money but they had the car back to me that afternoon. ive had the car 6 yrs and this was the 1st time ever being at a nissan dealer for service....i do my own work usually but just didnt have the time for this fix. i was actually impressed with how nice the service dept was and they were very respectful.
