Can you see the crack in the heatshield?

Just kidding, i agree with jason. If that was a crack in your subrame you would be in big trouble. I was this happen on a chevy celeberty, the subframe had 3 cracks in it.

clarification

I am talking about the crack within the (not too visible) red oval. Pic was taken looking up just aft of the oil pan looking to the rear...

Looks like its the subframe where the control arm is, if it is, i would get it replaced asap, you can get them at a junk yard pretty cheap.

Its water, if you zoom in and look at the bottom of the oval, you can see it about to drip.

Have it cloesly inspected by an experienced welder. If it is a crack it can possibly be welded. Sure you can get a subframe for pretty cheap, but its a PITA to install. A small to medium crack should be OK after a good welding job.

Not a crack but that part is your subframe assembly in which your lower control pivot is bolted too...

I think he's jerking our chains.......the one side of the "crack" (the jagged edge) should "match up" with the opposite side jagged edge, which it doesn't.

Updated photo (serious thread)

I really thought i might have a crack here but further inspection (photos) reveals it was not. I couldn't exactly replicate the viewing angle of the photo but i think this is the same area. Attached is the original photo inverted for direct comparison and a new pic i took last night. I couldn't sleep over this so went down to the garage and took ~25 pics at midnight. For some reason this area is prone to getting wet as you can see by the stained look over the alleged crack area. I tried the easy stuff before just shooting in the blind to get a decent pic of the area. I appreciate the comments and the concern expressed by early posters...THX

It's prone to get wet, cause your a/c drain is directly above it....

A y-pipe will give you a louder exhaust and slightly more horsepower.
