New Exhaust Mod - Check it out!
just thinking about this a little more...
Creating an exhaust leak closer to the passenger compartment is dangerous for multiple reasons that i don't need to go into.
As well as it being illegal in EVERY state.
Also it's allowing more moisture to get into the exhaust and would be concerned it would fail considerable faster, especially if you live in the northeast where the winter is ruff on exhausts anyways.
Finally they are already known to be weak at that point, this just makes it fail quicker as far as i can tell.
am i right? or am i thinking to far into this?

My $.02.
After listening to the vids in the associate links, it doesn't sound like a proper tuned exhaust should. It sounds like what it is, a leak.

yes i do actually have a y pipe...how exactly would you know what i do and don't have?
i'v also had 2 on my 4th gens that passed emissions just fine.
i'v also had 1 on my 3rd gen that passed emmisions just fine.
i'm just mentioning this is illegal in every state so people were clear i don't see any harm in it.
i have nothing more to add enjoy the rest of your thread.

Personally when i sit at a stop light or in traffic i don't like to smell my own exhaust, nor do those in my back seat(which obviously are scantily clad ladies who hate exhaust fumes).

If you want better sound for cheap, and don't want a catback, go get a dynomax 2.5" muffler for 60 bucks or a used flowmaster 40 series for 50 bucks and have it welded on in place of your stocker, either sound great on a stock exhaust.... Now put headers on with one of those little mufflers in place... WAY TOO LOUD, so be cautious.
Look guys, he was trying to be creative....however as we've seen before on subie forums, intelligence isnt always present (remember the gear oil in the engine thread??).
To the OP, this is a terrible Idea. Sorry you had to get flamed to realize it though...
