If anyone is in the Houston area or the surrounding counties. Mossy Nissan has a black 6sp 2k2 on the lot.

Don't know if you'd call me a "member" but I pick up my 6 spd. tomorrow morning.

My friend picked up his 6 spd. two weeks ago. He posted something back then about LSD and the fact that he seemed to have it, even though it obviously couldn't be helical. We're both in Ottawa, Canada.

Another 2k2 6spd in Canada

I'm in Kitchener, ON Canada and I picked up my loaded Ebony 6spd last week.

Paul D. - I get up to Ottawa quite often as my company has an office there. It'd be great to hook up with two other 6spds some time. Mine is the only one I've seen in this area.

Cool, I'm in the 'book' under Datars, look me up when you get to town.

I picked my car up last night, and there's now two 30 foot long perfectly symetrical black marks in my driveway that attest to the fact this car does have LSD (all be it not the helical kind). I also jacked the car up and found that when you turn one of the front wheels by hand (in neutral) the other wheel DOESN'T turn in the opposite direction.

Also just ordered a RSB from Cattman, and have some 18x8 black opal Konig Verdict wheels on the way with Komho 245/40 tires (got these from a place in Alberta thanks to a recomendation I read in another post on this forum - thanks guys).

That is exactly the wheel/tire combo I'm going to go with (except I think I'm getting Yokes instead of Komho tires) when my car is delivered. I really love the look of those wheels, post some pics if you can when you get them on, I'd love to see how they're going to look on my car. I've got a 6 speed/HLSD on order, so I won't get to find out for myself until next year sometime.

What did the RSB run you? 40 series tires would be challenging in Ottawa winters?

I am in Calgary and should take hold of my 6 speed Majestic Blue next week. I do want to look into RSB FSTB even though I am leasing.

The price on the RSB is kinda under negotiation at the moment because I'm buying two of them (one of them is for by buddy's 6 spd). I'm getting it from Cattman so hope I'll be paying less than the $119 US he quotes on his web-site. He said he's redesigning the FSTB so I'll wait to get one of those (well actually probably two again). I also plan to go with his CAI and Y-pipe both of which he's told me he's not sure if a redesign is need for the '02 Maxima.

When I ordered my car, as part of the deal, I got them to put Toyo 'HT' winter tires (225/50x17) on the stock SE wheels so I figure winters should be okay.

Cheers, Paul.

Almost...

I was really close to driving off in a 6-spd today. We couldn't come to an agreement on the price. It was a base model w/o any options (unless you consider floormats and splash guards options). Talked him down to $26,068 out-the-door but it wasn't enough to get me to bite. Oh well, by next year I'll have more $$ for a down payment and the HLSD will be available.

I'm in the SF Bay Area by the way. Anyone think that would have been a decent price?

my dealer experience today

I went to go finally test drive the new 2K2 6-speed today. I was quite impressed with the power, for being stock but honestly it didn't pull a whole lot harder, if any, than my modded 5 speed. I did like it a lot though, and went in to work the numbers....and that sucked royally. I'm in the DC area. My 2000 max is leased, and the buyout on it is still 22,200. They wanted to give me 17K for it, which left me 5K in the hole, but they were going to give me the 2K2 (It was a base 6-spd) for 26K before I even started negotiating, but that 5 grand was not gonna go away, so I'm stuck with mine for now. But it's still runnin strong...I raced a turbocharged NX2000 today all the way up to 120 and worked his a$$. I was surprised though when I heard that turbo kick in. Both of us walked all over a GS eclipse. Yee haw!!

Was that price with or without tax, licence, etc. The $26K OTD we were working on today was after everything. Which works out to about $23,500. But if you were able to get a nearly loaded model for $26,900 OTD I'd love to know where you got it.

Well, considering the invoice is $23,411 and it had floormats and splashguards (extra $200), I would think it would be a good deal at $23,500.

Yeah, I probably would have done around $26,900 OTD if it had the moonroof. That's the only option that I really, really want. It was Black also, so that kind of turned me off (Sterling Mist all the way!!). I still think I'd be happier if I just saved up and waited for the HLSD to hit the streets.
