first find out your true scenario before making any decisions,
dont forget you could get a bigger tire size to help out the huge gap instead of lowering.
my stock beefy 17" tires help a whole lot with the gap compared to my 18" low profile tires

Larger wheels are compensated by tires with smaller sidewalls and vice versa. Going too big or too small may affect your speedo/odo.
i think you got eibach springs they realy suck your best bid is tiens im telling you
look at my 96 only on 17" soo imagen you whit your 18" any more Q pm

i am under the impress that most coilovers for the max's are noisy (make strange clanking noises), am i wrong, plus they cost alot more, and i would like to get illums when i change out the front springs
Yes, and they should also say Eibach on them. The newer Progress springs are black too, but I don't know if they are labeled.
Eibach drop is 1.3" F and 1.0" R, while the Progress drop is 1.7" front and 1.5" rear. You could try measuring to see what your drop is like and use Housecor's site for reference.

Yes and no. Coilovers are expensive, but -I- think they are worth it. Yes coilovers are "noisy" only if you get the cheap quality stuff. My D2 was making popping and clicking noise EVERY single time I turn my steering wheel. I thought it was because of the pillowball mount, but turned out to be my cheap rubber coil insultator got chewed up, so the coil was rubbing against the strut mount. I replaced it with a plastic ring and it made zero noise so far (knock on wood..). I would personally recommend you to stay away from D2 because of its poor "adjustable" dampening.
The dumbness of this statement is simply amazing. Eibachs are widely recognized as one of the best performing springs for the Maxima. They have the correct rate and the correct ride qualities. More people here are on Eibachs than any other spring. Eibach is widely recognized as the leader worldwide in motorsports springs, and they make most of the springs for most coilovers that you can buy, as well...
you really don't know what you are talking about, as you have a 4th gen which uses DIFFERENT eibach springs than the 5th gen, with different rates and a lower drop.
And to suggest Teins

H-techs....too low a spring rate and bottom out
S-techs....simply one of the worst-performing springs available our cars.
Both are "looks" springs for people who just want to look pretty and don't care about performance at all.

Sounds like you don't care about anything except being slammed and having even wheel gap. If that's the case, just cut a coil off your springs and go bouncing down the road with all the other
Black springs? Eibach perhaps, in which case, keep them.
H&R is dark blue but they don't have that low of a drop.
The new progress springs are charcoal/silver, no?
Maybe you have cut OEM springs, in which case, ANYTHING you pick would be better.

Here you go Irish... lol
Most coilovers? Perhaps the cheap ones as previously stated. They definitely cost more but that's because they are better. You can adjust your height w/ coilovers as well.
I've got the TEIN SS coilovers and they are great. I'd recommend them if you care about the ride and handling; that is if you have the extra cash to spend on them....

If you're going to slam your car 3" low, no matter what you use the ride will suck, you will have noise, and you will blow your struts. Even illuminas are not suggested for a drop more than about 1.5" or so...
