Cattman Y-pipe question
Cattman Y-pipe question
for those of you who have a cattman Y-pipe.
I read the following on the Cattman website:
" The 3" Cattman Y-pipe requires a 3" catback exhaust system and is not designed to work with smaller diameter stock or aftermarket exhaust systems. Because there is no production 3" exhaust available, a custom solution is required. Customers are strongly advised to design the 3" custom exhaust from the 3" Y-pipe back to ensure proper fit and clearance."
So basically, they're saying you have to custom fit their Y-pipe onto your 5th gen max, right?
Is this the case for the Stillen Y-pipe as well? How much is the Stillen Y-pipe anyway?
Thanks guys

Stillen does not make a 3" y pipe. The stillen pipe is about $350

do you know what the difference is between the two y-pipes?
3"
3" pipes are for boosted applications like SC or NOS. It would decrease HP in a NA car. Bigger is not always better. Best NA is between 2 and 2.5"
The stillen is cheaper because of the material it is made of. Cattman is stainless and won't rust as easily. There are varying opinions on the quality of each pipe dependin on who you ask. I just ordered a cattman.
