Odd intermittent noise from right vent

I've searched a little bit and found 4th gens that may have the same issue, but no resolution..

Anyway the issue is a odd squeaking noise from the vent (sounds to the right) whenever my heat or air is on. Now it happens pretty much when it wants to. Its a lower pitch squeak the shutters in and out. Its not the belts lol...and I really dont think its a mouse! Anyone see this recently?

I had the same issue and it was the blower motor. After replacing the blower motor the noise was gone.

Depends on what you consider cheap. You'd be better off finding one from a junk yard.

+1

I got a remanufactured one and it is still working to this day (4 years later) so most likely one from a junkyard will be fine too.

I have a 03 with the same type of problems. Usually the blower will stop working on any level except the highest. I've replaced the blower motor - noise gone for 6 months. Then replaced the switches - noise gone for 2 months and now the resistor...and it started making the same noise 5 days later.

I'm stumped and frustrated.

Now I've got a really weird sound coming from (what sounds like) the front left wheel. In the morning (or anytime after significant tempature drop) it almost sounds like two balloons rubbing together. After two repair shops that I really trust nobody can find anything wrong with it. It's started making the sound while driving at highway speeds but closer to the center of the car.

Any ideas?

Good question...probably a combination of dirt and a cheap bearing or poopy engineering on the blower.
