i was driving along and see a bad *** green dodge dakota R/T 5.9, it was lowered big WIDE chromies, and either straight pipes or some kind of exhaust, clears all around, shaved emblems except the V8 one on the front fender and the 5.9 emblem, and some kinda aftermarket bulbs......but anyway, i got a light with him and we both wanted a race..well we punched it and off the line he was walking all over me! he pulled hard on me until i was at about the rear quarter section of his truck, we hit about 45 and i started pulling on him SLOWLY and pulled even with him and began to pull away slowly when we had to slow up for traffic. i woulda had the win but NOT BY MUCH AT ALL, maybe a quarter to a half car length, if that. THOSE TRUCKS WILL GO OFF THE LINE! i had to give it to him, that was the baddest damn truck ive seen around here. what is the HP and Torque for those? it was bad thats all i can say.

 

r\t dakota 5.9 has 250 hp and 345 lbs of torque.......mid 15. quarter stock

 

Come on now, 5.9v8? Cant touch that...... I dont know if I would have actually ran against him or just let he smoke me and let him be happy.

i didnt think i had a chance, i just wanted to see what that thing would do. like i said, we didnt get a clean race.....too much traffic, but he walked all over me off the line. dunno how fast we hit, but at about 40 or 45 we kinda leveled off, and i SLOWLY, i mean SLOWLY started pullin on him till we were even, then traffic stopped us. i just wanted to see that bad *** truck run!

 

that speed is to slow.. its like 1st then 1/4 of 2nd.

 

Try racing a ford lightning and see what happens.

 

ha i ran one at the track and it made me go crazy.... i ran a 14.8 my best run while he ran a 13.6 i was mad!! seeing him pull on my coming off the line like that made me want a rear wheel drive v-8 supercharged maxima!!! one day it will happen.......

 

e-town there was a jeep grand cheeroke. 5.9L v1 blower. ran a 12.7 that was scary, me and yoitsok were making fun of it when it was on line.. "ha ha whats a jeep doing in the c3 class? it even has heavy momo's on!"
