Cattman Headers installed...

Finally installed those Cattman headers, Wow that rear header is a hand full.... Hey no one ever mentiond needing to extend both primary O2 sensor harnesses. The O2 sensor bung on the primary collector is much lower. I tried soldering the wire between the connector (@ the valve cover) and the O2 sensor and it's impossible, so it's crimped.. I'm about to go out here and install the O2 simulator. that's pretty straight forward. I would love to see how you put that OBX rear header maniflod/y-pipe on . Even with the crossmember out and the rear motor mount brkt it's rather tight. Let me head back to the garage and finish up. Once the O2 sim is installed I'll start her up and perform a leak check. Other then that they fit in really nice!

Dude, I posted that just yesterday in a thread you were in too. You should have cut off the connector that is on the ECU harness itself and extended that, not the actual O2 sensor wire. If you have to extend the O2 wire itself, get some good electrical solder and soldering iron, not the $5 radio shack kind.

And this is my original thread and you can see how I extended the primary for the front bank without cutting/soldering:

Well, at least you got them on.

Well I apparently missed that post, but no biggie. I'll be searching Nissan's inventory for primary O2 sensors that are longer than mine in the mine time. I spoke too BCatts and that's what his Technicain did as well on the front. I like those little clip holders so much...I wanted to continue using them. anyway thanks for the info effort.....

Check with Dave B, when Merlyn was working on his turbo project he said he found some compatible O2s that had quite a lengthy harness.

Congrats on the install. They are best thing I have done to mine. You will be very pleased when the ecu relearns the new way to breathe. Gonna get codes but that is part of the game.

The o2 sim will not take care of everything.

P1147 is bank 1, P1167 is bank 2.

I've been running cattman headers/ypipe with no cat converter for a year now with an O2 sim and I haven't thrown a single code, and passed OBD-II inspection.

Those are heater codes, that means there is an issue with the heater circuit either due to the fact that the secondaries are not plugged in or have gone bad. The O2 sim will not fix those codes, headers or no headers.

The dual output sim should take care of secondary O2 sensor codes for both banks not pertaining to the heater circuit. The only two sensors on the car that are monitoring the pre-cats (or the lack thereof) are the two downstream sensors that the dual output sim will "replace". Once again, excluding the heater signals.

Ceramic coated 3000 degree Titanium; no codes coming this way for those anticipating it...I've added 2 ft to O2 sensors in the past with no codes and ran that setup for 5 yrs....
