pulsing dash lights

like the title says they've been pulsing lately...

Alternator?

Most likely. Have the battery and alt load tested to verify.

I would think the voltage regulator in the alternator is shot.

Ditto. Regulator probably bad.

Get it tested ASAP.

If it tests bad get it replaced before you cook something from the overvoltage.
