Front and Rear side markers

This may sound dumb and I didnt want to have to dig at my lights to find out. (I tried to search as well to no avail) But my question is are these interchangable? I didnt know if Nissan set the locking mechanisms so they can just be switched. TIA

The fronts can not be used for the backs and visa versa. They can be taken out and clear or smoked ones can be installed. The front are different from the back though.

Whoa, your question is somewhat unclear, but you cannot use a front sidemarker on the rear bumper, and vice versa. They are removable and can be swapped for OEM replacements or aftermarket replacements, but you cannot use a front for a rear, etc.

edit: Nismowolfe beat me.

On my old car they were impossible to remove from the outside without severely damaging the paint. I just bashed in the old ones and pulled them out that way.

Or you can take off the wheel well cover and push them out.

Be sure to grab some high quality ones (in a full set). One of my rears went foggy after many months and some have different reflective patterns (can affect color too), etc (ebay stuff does anyway).

Good note, if they are aftermarket, run a bead of silicone on the outside seal to make sure no condensation enters. Can't do much about the reflective pattern though.

Actually, the fogginess on mine wasn't from condensation, but from sunlight, I'm guessing. I really don't have any idea b/c it was the shady side of parking and there wasn't any oxidation or w/e on the outside and I couldn't ever clean it off (inside or out).

But, yeah, I forgot about condensation, thanks.

I bought this sanding thing from autozone that was supposed to be the cure for foggy headlights and it worked like a charm

Use the firefox addon bbcodxtra for html coding. Best thing since sliced bread! (yeah, it's supposed to be cheesy haha).

You can remove the sidemarker lights from the outside without damaging the paint. You have to be very careful not to break the lights, but I have done it numerous times with no issues. Just take a flat head screwdriver and put a cloth around the end and pry the light out. The cloth will prevent you from damaging the paint.
