looking for led conversion pics!
hey everybody im looking for pics and maybe a quick write up of changing all the leds in the door panels, radio, climate. if anybody could help and post pics id appretaite it.
the bulbs in the cluster are 1/2 watt straw hat leds. Got them off of ebay. I had to go to an electronics shop to get the proper resistors. The led's are white by the way, but the cluster comes out blue with the OEM overlay that is in there. But it normally looks green because the OEM bulbs look yellow. yellow plus blue gives you green. They look brighter in the pic than they really are because I used a long shutter speed for exposure. You can turn them down with the dimmer as well.
I tapped into the back of the cluster, soldered the wires directly to the back of the circuit board. Looks like ****e but you can't see it. here's a pic from the back...

These led's draw a lot of power, so I had to make 2 separate circuits. 4 actually because each signal light has it's own as well. There was no way I could run 4 led's on the same circuit and get enough power to have them light up properly.

As you can sort of tell, the positive lead for the led's is the brown plug on the left, the negative is the white plug on the right. I checked the FSM to figure out which was the power for the 4 cluster bulbs, and the negative as well. I also found the positive for the left signal and the negative, and positive/negative for the right signal.
I found a site online to figure out the resistor size for the led's and it worked out that I could only use 2 led's and a resistor per circuit.
ignore the green wires, they are for the speed sensor for my d3 HU, and my wideband.
here's the link for the led's.

Our cluster looks green because there is a blue film between the bulb and our eyes, and the bulb is actually giving off yellow light. So blue film and yellow light equals green. I'm not sure how an orange led would look through the blue, but I know guys have used red and it didn't turn out purple. I used white and it turned out blue.
that looks good ive got about the same setup rite now im tryn to change all the bubs in the car to led esp the door panel buttons and radio to blue
ohh my bad i was saying i have the same leds in the courtesy lights and dome and map lights i want to change the window lights from green to blue as well go with blue in the radio and climate control
