Rear brake job... help

So i'm attempting a rear brake change, and have run into so many bad issues. Like not being able to compress the caliper. We finally took the whole thing off and screwed it down. So tell me what i'm doing wrong... Plus I got a brake set from Nissan and one set doesn't have a clip on it. Bad set or is it okay?

The caliper piston screws in clockwise. Don't just push it back or you will damage the caliper. Only one pad on each side has a wear indicator clip on it. I put that pad on the calipers piston side.

The first time i ever changed my brakes on my max, i also didn't know you had to "screw" the piston back in. Every car i've ever had before this one you could "push" them back in using a C-clamp..... I almost killed myself trying to do that with these calipers.... lesson learned.

You can buy a small square brake wrench for a couple bucks. They usually sell them at Autozone with all the different specialty tools.

It's a cube that has 8 different sizes of nubs to fit many styles of calipers. It is made to go oin a 3/8 inch socket extension.

Find the right size to fit your caliper, hook it to a socket wrench and just turn it right in.

Way better than trying to use needle nose (which I've done many times)

We got them on, and it's loads better. Now one issue, the left rear has two lines around it on the rotor. They are just lines and not indention lines. Like it almost seems like you could scratch it off, but it doesn't. It doesn't squeak or make any noise. So i'm wondering if we just got grease from our hands on the pad. All in all, everything turned out good.

I just used a big set of locking pliers. Lock it on there, turn, unlock, reposition, lock, turn again.
