I'm currently in the process of replacing the head unit in the car and ended up ordering a GXE dash kit. Only problem is, it's not the TE color and since I'm color blind (just have a hard time matching some colors and shades) I'm not sure what color paint or brand to pick up so I can paint it to match the stock TE color.

Any suggestions?

From what I know, even though it isn't a perfect match, it isn't a huge deal and the trouble to paint it isn't worth it. Just an opinion, of course.

 

Yeah... I guess I'll see what it looks like when it comes in and go from there. I'm a bit **** about stuff...

 

I was thinking the same thing because my bose has had 6 cds stuck in it since november and I figured it was time to replace it. Guess what, today I start the car and the radio reads cd check and now everything is working again. I guess I'll wait a little longer now

 

same thing happened in my 03 max, cd kept getting stuck, replaced it with a pioneer flip out tv, dash kit was black, while actual dash was a dark gray.....found a carbon fiber kit, that covered up everything....jst what i did

 

post a pic of your TE trim, i got an SE and i installed a double din in it, color match is awesome with the trim kit i got on ebay.

mine is the same HU as this person's, but mine is w/o rear view cam

 

I hate to thread jack and im sorry in advance but what is the Titanium Edition Maxima?

 

It was a package offered in 2003 only. Same as any other Maxima really, but you get shiney wheels, chrome door sills, and titanium interior pieces. I suppose they're rare in the States, but up here in Canada every single 2003 SE made for the Canadian market was Titanium Edition. I was stoked at the dealer when I found out I had bought a TE, then I came home and found out they're all like this here lol.

 

The only bad part is, I went ahead and purchased the GXE dash kit which is not refundable

I'll have to do a "search" on how to post pics too...

 

well if you have a color deficiency(as I do) and you can't see the difference, then what does it really matter? I very poor at matching colors drives my friends crazy but it doesn't bother me as it looks correct to me.
