Clear Head/Tail Light Covers

Just bought an '03 GLE with the clear head/tail lights but they are kinda fogged up. What could I use to get them clear again when normal washing won't work?! Thanks!

How do the headlights come off or out?! I see the two 10mm bolts on top. I unscrewed those but the headlights still won't come out and I don't want to break them. Thanks!

pull forward, to make it easier, unclip one of the bumper cover clips up top where the grill meets, that way it comes out with out scratching anything.

03VQMAZ,
Have you ever used the Brasso or Meguiers PlastX they refer to on this site for polishing the headlights/taillights? Thanks!

Which do you prefer....Meguiar's or Brasso?! Did you have to clean the inside of the headlight or just the outside? Thanks!

Not necessarily. He might have a 5th gen with datadot bracket.

So, a 5.5 gen is likely to have the datadot bracket. Especially if he says the headlight won't come out when just the two top bolts are removed. And he is on the east coast, which is notorious for requiring the headlight security kit.

If you have the datadots you will have to remove your front bumper. Basically they added a bracket which attach to your ballast and screws behind the headlights in the fender wells.

Bumper doesn't have to be removed.
