Questions..

1. Do they still make 01AE blank keys?

2. I used to have these aftermarket bulbs that had a blue tint to them.. anyways Im assuming that the bulb would get too hot and it started melting away at the harness. Since that happened, some times my HIDs dont always fire up. I sometimes have to turn them on and off to get them both on.. What are my options there?

3. When the low fuel lights comes on, how many miles do I have left?

Thanks in advance..

I believe they do, yes. Ask Dave B.

Sounds more like a ballast issue. Do they turn on, flicker, then turn right back off? Or does one just never turn on?

That depends entirely on what sort of fuel mileage you usually get, and how much is left in the tank when your light comes on (seems to differ between vehicles). All you can really do is guess a safe number, or actually do it and check.

I don't know how much is left when the needle reaches empty, but considering the fact that my 2000 is pretty much dead nuts accurate at half full, I'd say then that empty is empty.

That said, mine will chime low fuel (rarely since I hate it to get that low - usually fill at 1/4 tank or more) when the level is so close to empty that I bet you have only 25 miles - maybe even less.

Don't push it or you will push it.

You could always put a 5 gallon can in the trunk (safely secured of course) and drive it dry. The you'd know.

I hate to sound stupid but whos DaveB..

No im really shooting towards the fact that the ballasts are fine. They fire up all the time, its just those few times.. the same thing used to happen before i had my hids.. How could i replace the harnesses. Is there something at autozone or pepboys?

both headlights dont always fire up? i had a problem with my HID's, one of them wouldnt turn on, but when i turned it off and on again, it would work. It was a bad balast.

For Dave B, you have to actually look for info. You can find the info on the last page of the newbie thread.

Hell, it's in the stickies...

Well they either fire up all the time, or just a few times they don't work, it can't be both. I still say ballast. The headlight harness is a part of the engine room harness, you can't get that at an AutoZone or Pepboys.

Unless you mean just the connectors, in which case you can probably find them at your local auto parts stores, yes.
