2002 GLE and 1999 SE: wheels interchangeable?

My brother has a 99 SE with 16"s and I have an 02 GLE with 17"s. Can we swap wheels without any issues?

Hey thanks for the quick & helpful reply. Has anyone here done this? Pics? I'll have to see if my brother would go for it. His 99 hit a guard rail in the rain a few years back and he totally gave up taking care of it, cosmetically.

You can take rims from any Nissan/Infinity and they will bolt up just fine FYI. You gotta do some searching next time. IBTL.

The only issue might be brake clearance. You might be ok. I know for sure you can't put 16s on a 6th gen.

You could even fit 15's on there, depending on clearance

You will also have some speedometer error when you change wheel/tire sizes. Whether it would be enough to be concerned depends on the sizes involved.

If the overall height is the same, it won't matter. Taller profile tires on 16's should have a similar height as 17s with lower profile tires.
