Lowering Car

Hi i was looking into lowering my car so i searched the site for an hour. And i believe this has left me even more confused than i was before. I like the drop progress gives but from there i have no clue on what else to get.

I know i need struts and shocks i think?? Can anybody like give me a list if i would like to drop my car with progress and $ of the stuff? Also would it be best to bring my car to a shop to do or could a person do it by them selves?

If you get so confused, very easily, not sure if what we say will make it worse?

Have you read this?

Reading it makes it sound alot harder then it actually is. It is something you could do easily yourself with the right tools. If you need help try and find someone who knows what their doing like above. It's a easy way to save yourself $150.00..

Illuminas or AGX-5 (modified by Cattman); I've been running my Illumina/Progress setup for over 1.5 yrs and we drive the car from Houston, Tx. to Lafayette, La. at least once every 2-3 months which is a 4 hr trip, 250 miles from driveway to driveway. I've got a Cattman KYB AGX setup minus the springs with less than 4K miles on it if you are interested in it. But it seems there has been alot of good feed back on the Progress Sport Springs (IMO better than stock) ride quality, and the Tiens S-tech or H-techs springs. I will tell you that the Illuminas are my first choice when it comes to struts and the Progress sport spring have awesome ride, stance and handling qualities... The progress aren't coilovers but the tradeoffs between super handling and good everyday driving qualities, I'll pick Progress springs all day...That's IMO....

I was a little confused also. but i ended up going with progress springs and tokico illuminas. so you need a set of springs ( four springs ) and a set of struts ( 4 struts ) don't get confused by using the term "shock". i ordered everything online and it ended up costing me 650. when they come in i found a shop to install all four for $160.

You do not need a RSB in order to lower. It's for handling.
