Anyone try to clear out the amber in the HID housing and the rear tails yet?
I wanan do this soon. The amber is so fugly.

what about the 2k2 tails?

 

Haven't heard anything yet, but I think someone said that they were attempting it.

 

i'm thinking about trading my 2k2 tails for someones 2k1 or 2k tails without the amber in them because i'm getting the outer edge of them, everything but the where the light comes out painted body color and i might as well get the amberless ones. or maybe someone has a set laying around for cheap so i can keep both.

 

I like the 2k/2k1 tail style (no chrome).

Did they come as upper-red/lower-amber on any 2k/2k1 Maximas?

I really like the idea of being more visible(amber) in foggy/rainy conditions when the hazard lights are activated.

i'm the one that cleared out the 02 hid lights. . .u actually have to break the seal to do this, it is extremely difficult. . .i don't recommend doing it yourself unless your really careful. . .once u get the cover off, the amber plate just pops off....and then reseal it and your reday to go.....

The tail lights can not be cleared out, the plastic itself is amber, there's no orange refector that can be replaced with a clear one.
