'00 Two new dings on fresh painted (tri-coat pearl white) hood!!!! Crap-ola!!

I hit a deer and got a new hood (among other things)...
I had to drive the car a bit more than I wanted to this winter... and double you tee eff, I have two very teeny dings in the paint on the hood ALREADY. They both look kinda deep. CRAP!!
Could the show have done a shoddy job applying the paint, not letting it cure properly or something between coats, making it brittle? I mean heck, the 8 yr old hood hood that jello-ed the buck only had two dings in it.
With this being supposedly a "special" paint, I wanna take care of this somewhere between the cheap and the right way... Probably the "smart" way...
Pointers/advice?
Come on. It's a car. things can and will happen from time to time. Be realistic.
When something happens, get it repaired, before it turns into a real problem.

Maybe I didn't direct my inquiry properly.
I'm not a paint expert. Is the tri-coat less accepting to touch-up work?
It's a new hood, with new paint. I'm just a little miffed that only a few months in, there's already a couple dings. And being that I'm in a road-salt-heavy location, I want to treat these dings right. They're not just simple scratches, they're breadcrumb-sized rock-pockmarks, and I see that a couple layers were cut through.

This is no fault of the bodyshop though. And also, 9/10 times an aftermarket paintjob is softer than a factory one, and is more susceptable to rock chips resultingly.
Invest in a clear bra after future repaints.
Fresh Paint is soft for several months until it fully cures. If the shop didn't let the paint to dry correctly or it set wrong, then it would have a top layer that appeared set but the under layers would never set b/c it's sealed over by the cured layer. This would leave it perpetually softer.
ugh.
Can I protect these rock chips from turning into gangrenous cancer entities?
Both of my '00 Max's hood had to be replaced in '08 (the super black one had a car wash ceiling assembly fall on it), and I'd like to ensure that they live good lives.

i agree, if its ding where only u and a magnifying glass can see, then eff it, it is 8 yrs (possibly 9) old like someone else said.... u the owner will always notice things nobody else will, without thorough inspection
Just buy some matched touch-up paint to cover it up so rust can't get in there. Buy some Langka to remove the paint blobs...even though it's expensive...it works really good. You won't even be able to tell you touched it up if you do it right.

Just kidding. Wax the car after a wash and apply a few coats. That should help it stay in tip top shape.
