p0403 from ecu swap

So I finally completed my tranny swap from auto to manual by changing out the auto ecu to a manual one, but now i am having a p0403 code. I think the problem is becaused I used a 2000 ecu for my 2001 gle. I think I'm getting this code beacause 2001 maximas do not have an egr like 2000's do. So now my question is does anybody know how i can get rid of this code or a way to somehow fool the ecu that i have an egr.

Don't think it can be done. Some people have claimed to fool the ECU with a fixed value resistor, but the ECU looks for the EGR flow signal to come & go depending on the conditions. Your best bet would be to obtain a 2001 ECU and sell the 2000 one to someone with a fried IACV issue.
