SES P0464 fuel level sensor intermittent
SES P0464 fuel level sensor intermittent
I initially put this is in the I30/I35 section but have not received a response. I am hopeful with the higher traffic here maybe someone has experience with this.
I got this code pulled at Autozone today. I tried the search and Google and haven't found any helpful info except one post about how this was actually the O2 sensor. Anybody have any info about this code? I understand it has something to do with the fuel level circuit but don't have any info on what's actually wrong or how to repair it. The SES light came on about 8 hours after a fill-up, not sure if this has anything to do with it.
I have the car for almost 2 years and this is the only time the light has come one. Figures, I have to have the car inspected by the end of the month.
Thanks in adavance for any assistance, it's really appreciated.

I have reviewed the FSM and have spoken with two Infiniti dealers in my area. I have been told there is no separate Fuel Level Sensor, it's part of the sending unit and needs to be replaced as a unit.
I was also told that a burned-out Low Fuel Warning Light bulb can cause this code. Does this make any sense to anyone more familiar with electronics? Is there a way to check whether this bulb is working? According to my owner's manual it does no come on with the other warning lights when the key is turned to the On position. If not, I guess I will have to wait until the fuel level drops.
Thanks again.
