RSB installed thoughts & question

I just installed a Progress RSB. As a lot have stated, it has made a huge difference. Based on the way it bolts to the beam and arms, is it technically a sway bar or is it a brace?

congrats on the new mod...just curious how difficult the install was? lift or jackstands used?

I couldn't have been much easier; it only requires 8 easy to reach bolts. My 14.4 volt Makita impact driver helped a lot. I used jack stands, though I may have been able to do it with ramps.

didnt you notice the anti part of the body sway the rsb produce for you? that would tell you what scottwax just said lol

Install is easy. It can be done with ramps as well.

Where do you put the jackstands? Under the axle / rear bar thing? Then bolt on the RSB?

So.. you jack up the car from each side of that bar and put jack stands on each side?

I can't remember where exactly I read this, but somehwere/somebody said that the sway bar shouldn't be installed with tension removed from the rear suspension. Therefore, it should be installed using ramps....any truth behind this???

Similar to LTB install. You can install with tension removed and then torque (the U-bolts) to spec once tension is back.

Jack stands should be at the jack points, you can't put them under the axle since the RSB will be under it.

That's probably what I need to do... My rear suspension is making a squeaking noise every time I go over a bump. Anybody else have this?

Squeaking after RSB install? Check the bushings on the sway bar. I believe the install kit came with a non-sqeak tape or something that is wrapped around the bar. Maybe you need some of that.

My Progress RSB came with grease for the RSB\urethane bushing interface.

And maybe they changed somewhere between yours and mine. I purchased mine from Cattman last December. I think the Progress manufature date was the prior month or two. I remember it was not old stock.

I bought mine from Cattman last summer, and it came with grease. It was a relatively easy installation and is probably the most effective mod I have done to my car other than new struts/springs.
