RSB installed thoughts & question
RSB installed thoughts & question
I just installed a Progress RSB. As a lot have stated, it has made a huge difference. Based on the way it bolts to the beam and arms, is it technically a sway bar or is it a brace?

I couldn't have been much easier; it only requires 8 easy to reach bolts. My 14.4 volt Makita impact driver helped a lot. I used jack stands, though I may have been able to do it with ramps.

I can't remember where exactly I read this, but somehwere/somebody said that the sway bar shouldn't be installed with tension removed from the rear suspension. Therefore, it should be installed using ramps....any truth behind this???
Similar to LTB install. You can install with tension removed and then torque (the U-bolts) to spec once tension is back.

Jack stands should be at the jack points, you can't put them under the axle since the RSB will be under it.

Squeaking after RSB install? Check the bushings on the sway bar. I believe the install kit came with a non-sqeak tape or something that is wrapped around the bar. Maybe you need some of that.
I bought mine from Cattman last summer, and it came with grease. It was a relatively easy installation and is probably the most effective mod I have done to my car other than new struts/springs.
