What are good exotic mods for a maxima 5.5 gen ?!?!

Hi,
I am new to making threads so i may not know a lot, but i am here because u all know everything =]

OK so i am going to buy a 2002-2003 maxima GLE with 30k miles next week and i want to know which mods are the best for improving performance and looks. I am 18 btw so i wont be looking at expensive stuff, willing to spend 2k max on mods.
should i go with the GAB mod or should i get the intake?? idc about spending 300$ for the intake if it hepls, ohh and which one is better , CAI or SHORT RAM INTAKE!?!?

halo angel-eyes projector with HID 8k
rear sway bar
front strut tower brace
Injen Cold Air Intake or BERK short air intake??? which one is better in your opinion
Throttle body spacer
full exhaust system
AE pedals
y-pipe
CRIMEFIGHTER OLED FSK 2 Way Remote Start Car Alarm

Please tell me if any of those are bad or if there is a better choice than them, and tell me more items i can use which can help a lot.

OHH please tell me more about the y-pipe as i like its idea, and tell me why u dont like the projectors... look at those http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HID-0...Q5fAccessories
they have halos thats why i like them.. if you really think they arent worth it then yea. i wont get it i guess!

THANKS!!

First off welcome to the org. And secondly there are a lot of info around here to answer most of your ideas or plans for mods.

halo angel-eyes projector with HID 8k -> Keep Stock, best there is because ebay ones are crap and there are a lot of threads on here to tell you why you should stay away from them unless you retrofit

rear sway bar -> this is a nice mod and you can feel the difference

front strut tower brace -> decent mod

Injen Cold Air Intake -> why not a berk or any short ram intake, will cost you less or just do the GAB mod which is free

Throttle body spacer -> If your talking about NWP Spacers then yes.

full exhaust system -> Assuming you going a custom route, there are a lot of threads on here to help you find out what you need to get this done for example Wyche99's exhaust thread.

AE pedals -> if you want them.

CRIMEFIGHTER OLED FSK 2 Way Remote Start Car Alarm -> if you want them

all in all its your car and money this is just my .02 have fun and see ya around

-Y pipe
-Cat back exhaust
-FSTB
-Berk Short-ram intake w/ apexi filter
-NO to the projector headlights since you already have HIDs in your 02-03 headlights you are just wasting money and the projectors arent that great in terms of light output
-Tein S-tech springs
-Stillen-style front lip

I dont know what you mean by exotic but I think those mods are a good start in terms of performance and styling

Hey Tito, I'm 19 and have had a 2002 max for almost a year now so I was in the same boat u r. Like posted before search around the guys and gals here are very knowledgeable and have answered almost every question already.

So far with my Max I have myself installed Blue interior LEDs (doors, dome, gauge, trunk) ($15), interior neon lights ($50), painted my engine cover ($5) looks nice, berk intake ($100) sounds nice as hell, aftermarket taillights ($100) old ones broke. I bought the car with a front lip, rear spoiler, and roof spoiler already installed. I also just purchased a set of Cattman headers ($850) just waiting to receive them but I'm having a shop put them on.

y pipe on a 02-03 still adds 7-9 hp form what i read. So not a bad mod, but spacers will be cheaper if you can install it yourself.

Sooner is merely telling the lad to search instead of post threads like this...there are a number of threads asking the same question. So..with that link...he can search and find his answers.

Glad you decided to edit

I usually edit after posting it and reading through it all again. I don't want to sound like an ***, just seemed rude to me to talk to a new guy like that, but I understand what he's doing.

like most ppl said.. search should be your first choice cause that can answer so many questions.. but good luck on picking up a maxima, you'll love it! i'm 18 too and this is my first car.. i would get a short ram, berk is always good.. i would lower it.. heres a site which will answer some questions about springs and other stuff.. http://www.shiftice.com/ i would get some rims, look around in the classifieds like someone posted.. get a front lip, stillen classic is good.. i could keep going.. but its your car, do what will make you happy.. have fun with it!

short ram = cheaper, don't have to worry about sucking up water if you live in a city where it rains a lot

CAI = takes in a lot of warm air because of where its located, also have to worry about driving in the rain
