Sound Proofing
My weekend project of sound proofing the doors is coming up and I have a few questions. Has anyone tried putting the sound proofing on the back of the door skin? If so, how did that work out? Where is the best spot to put the sound proofing on?
thanks for the help

Have you tried searching?
Do a search for sound deadening. Here are a few results.

Doors
Mostly interested in best way to do doors. Can I do the back of the door skin? Or is it better to remove the moisture shield and sound proof the doors themselves. Or, can I put the sound deadener over the moisture shield. Dont know if that method would work to well though.

I have sound deadener directly on the skin, removed the moisture skin and another layer on the door frame plus another layer of acoustic sound proofer. Unless you have a system and running massive power to the door speakers, I say it's not really worth it. The doors close with a nice thud now, and the OEM speakers have more mid range and low thump, but all in all not that significant.

How about as to method? The question is should the door skin be removed and the sound deadener (whichever is chosen for the particular application) be applied directly the door, or can it go over everything?
