New suspension.....new noise

None of these issues were present prior to new suspension. About 4 days ago, replaced stock struts/springs with H-tech and illuminas. 4 new mounts also installed.

Front end noise:
LOUD squeaking/groan: only occurs with spring compression when wheel is fully turned left. Can be reproduced by stopping, turning wheel all the way left, letting off brake for a second, then braking so front of the car dips slightly. (reproduces noise 100%) Greater the spring compression => louder noise. Unable to reproduce with wheel fully turned left, car stopped, and pushing down on front end.

Rear:
Faint but noticeable knocking/rattling: occurs with any road irregularities at any speed. Best way I can describe this, it sounds like the jackstand is loose and tapping the fender (checked, not the case). Seems more apparent on the passenger side, but I'm unsure if it is coming from both sides. Haven't figured out a way to reproduce the sound other than driving over irregularities.

strut mount bearing gone or left out during assembly or upper/lower coil spring isolators damaged or left off during assembly of new struts and springs!

Had the same front end issue with my car. Took the wheel off and sprayed WD-40 on the bump stop and at the spring contact points on the mounts. All went away

i sprayed some white lith where the lower spring meets the front strut, didnt take the wheel off yet, but it didn't really do anything. I'll try the WD-40 tomorrow.

This actually stopped the rear noise as well?

Make sure to spray really well up top where the bump stop sits. That's where my noise was. In the rear...I'm not sure. I never had that issue. All I can think of is to make sure that the top bolts are tight now that you have dropped the car back off the jack.

thanks, I'll check all the bolts again tomorrow morning. As for the WD-40, isn't that going to be a temporary fix or is it possible that things just need to maybe "settle in" over the next hundred miles or so?

It will most likely be temporary. The white grease you had would probably work best and for the longest. I just didn't have any at the house

I had a few odd noises after doing my suspension. I rechecked everything and found nothing wrong with what I did. Within 1,000 miles they all went away and haven't returned. It's been around two years now.

I don't remember exactly what it was like but it was similar to what you're experiencing now. Of course you want to rechecked everything you can. If you don't find anything wrong try giving it some time. Others here have had the same thing happen after installing new suspension too.

Update: after taking a look around, found that it was a missing plastic cap on the end of the bolt that contacts the transverse link/arm...solved the metal on metal grinding.

As for the rear, seems that the "knocking" noise was actually creaking of the spring. Everything is tight back there, and things seem to be in place, so not really sure what I can do to stop the creaking permanently...besides waiting and hoping it goes away.
