Need help P0507
I keep getting this code. The idle is sitting at about 850 rpms.
I've been looking for an hour now for the idle relearn how to, but I must be an idiot because I can't find it. So if anyone can help that would be great.
I've also noticed that a lot of the links in the sticky's don't work or they send you to places that having nothing to do with the topic you are looking up.
Anyhow, thanks for the help.

Others talked about an idle relearning technique they tried and on a few the check engine light went away and the idle went back to normal. So I'm trying to find out how to do that procedure to see if I can get it to fix my idle and make my check engine light go away without having to go to the dealer.
I'm new to the 5th gen maximas so I'm just trying to figure things out.
Where do I go to find out info for TSB NTB00-041? The TSB link in the stickies didn't say anything about it.
By the way I have an 02 maxima.
Thanks

I have the same problem, see thread

I could not find TSB NTB00-041 online , I just had someone print out the TSB, it just says to do the Idle Air Volume Relearning procedure.

Well thanks guys. I did the idle relearn and it worked like a charm, I drove around and my idle was sitting at 650 rpms which is where it should be...
Then I turned off the car. The next time I restarted the car the idle went back to the crappy 850 rpms which is where I get the code popping up P0507.
I guess I'm stuck getting raped by the dealership.

Well I took a closer look in the engine bay and found that I had an air leak. I fixed the air leak, reset the idle learning and now it works perfectly. Thanks for you help. I'm glad it was an easy fix.

I had the spark plugs changed, had some NWP intake spacers installed, and while this was being done the shop cleaned the throttle body (this seems to trigger this code, search and you'll see). Soon after the high idle code triggered.
I was about to drop the car off at the dealer because the relearn procedure wouldn't keep. Once the car was turned off, the relearn procedure would be forgotten and I'd have a 900rpm idle and the SES light would return. I even tried the disconnecting injectors trick that seems to help some folks without success.
As a last hope I just disconnected the battery and left it for roughly 48 hours and the car has seemingly fixed itself. No more check light, no more high idle, I didn't even do the relearn procedure.
If you've got no options left to try before dropping it off at a dealer, try it.
