2001 Maxima Y-pipe Cali/Fed spec question

A local bro from the Org took off his Y-pipe and I want to buy it, but it's Cali spec and I'm Fed spec. Are they compatible with some modification?

If you're an '01 you're cali spec. Fed spec only exists up through '00.
