Might want to ask this in the audio/electronics section. You'll probably get more insightful information quicker than you would here.

Not sure on remote, but you definitely want to run a fresh line of wire for power as the draw will most likely be larger.

YES! you need one of these! http://www.dealercostcaraudio.com/stingersgn13.aspx u can get them at ur local best buy. as for the install u splice into the pos and neg leads and wire them in 2 pos wires into the sub pos and 2 neg into the neg sub and then for the remote wire u exposethe wires leading to the bose amp and splice the bright green wire with a thin white stripe down the side. obv u need to run a 12v cable from the battery to the new amp (im sure u already knew this)

Uh, no. Please disregard everything ^^ said, I can't even make sense of it.

You need a fresh power line. Everything else CAN be tapped at the HU, and you don't need an LOC. Do it right.

You don't even need the LOC. It's giving you a line level signal, just splice in some RCA's. Do it at the HU so you don't have to do double work when you replace your HU.

This question would have been properly answered if the OP had read the stickies in the audio section, it's discussed ad-nauseum.
