Replace Headlights

Haven't been on for a while gents. The stickies say this has been removed because of theft. Keee-rist!! we got dirt-bags stealing HID headlights now! I want to replace my non-HID 01 A/E headlights. I tried buffing and it didn't work. Is there any trick to pulling them out or is pretty straight forward.

Very easy to replace. Remove two screws on top of the housing that connects to the sheet metal of the car. Then just wiggle and pull.

What do they look like? Are they severely oxidized or scratched?

Thanks, More of a heavy haze than scratches. I think it even restricts the light. They look pretty crappy. I bet the guy that does the polishing sticky could make some money buffing headlights. I followed it and they didn't turn out nearly as good. The aftermarket lights i just bought aren't nearly as good as OEM or expensive.

Use Brasso on your heads. My dad's were severely oxidized and Brasso made them clear. Follow with a plastic polish and/or all-in-one like Klasse. Ditch the aftermarket crap.

Got the aftermarket's at 1001 Headlights. I don't think Brasso would help. I used a kit with wet sandpaper and really froked them up.

That is not a HID housing. That is designed for halogen bulbs. You'll get a lot of glare if you put HIDs in there. Go OEM 2k2 hids or do a projector retrofit.
