Snorkel

Hello, These sensors were connected to the snorkel which I would like to remove since I believe it is functional, will these sensors throw a code if they are not connected??

Thanks in advance, this is the best forum on the web.....

Above is the only thread that addressed this issue and no one really answered his question.

you haven't stated what year the car is, but since I have installed about 20 intakes I will say it has to be a 5th gen. In which case the sensor is the temperature sensor and should still be hooked up under the hood so the MAF can adjust the AFR depending on the temperature of the air being sucked in. I recommend leaving it attached to the snorkel, and leave the snorkel in place. Or you can drill a hole in the filter and pop it in there.

I never understood why people remove the snorkel. It pulls in air from above the radiator.
