Ram effect from the intake snorkel?
Ram effect from the intake snorkel?
I have a Weapon R Hybrid intake with a dragon filter, and had a question about the intake snorkel.
Could I possibly route piping (mabye flexible home depot dryer duct piping) from the end of the snorkel, and connect it to the filter, and get the same effect that the Weapon R ram air kit would give? Would it turn it into a makeshift CAI if I sealed the filter in (mabye a tupperware mod)?
I never took the snorkel out of the engine bay after I installed my intake, because it seems that it's supplying colder air than what would be regularly sitting in the engine without it.
I guess my real question is this: will it create a ram air effect? If not, what do you reccomend?
What do you guys think of the Weapon R Ram Air kit? Do you think it's worth it?
Thanks for any feedback.

The "snorkle" is the most restrictve part of the stock setup. But if you did the Tupperware mod, and the opened up resonator under the battery then it would draw lots of cool air. If you don't want an open element filter y did you get one in the 1st place? (im just wondering im not being a smart ***.) you could have a hack air box that looxs better than a salad bowl.
