Go to www.superbrightleds.com and get the 6ohm loaders. Their prices are great, they send you directions and even the clips to tap into without having to cut wires. Did you have an indicator light on your dash indicating that there is a problem with your lights? I think they fixed this cruise control problem on the 5.5 gen. I got my leds in recently and have an indicator light on needing the resistor install, however my cruise is still working.
Anyone else agree that the 6ohm loader/resistor will solve his problem and allow him to put his LEDS back in?

I'm actually headed out so I will try the cruise control and see if anything blinks a certain amount of times. I do have a check engine light that's been on for several years. The car has been running fine. I need to write the codes down the next time I get the oil change.

If you've got a CEL, the first thing you do is pull the codes before asking for help. There's no point in diagnosis if you ignore the primary means of identifying an issue.

Thanks for the info. I'll go ahead and pull the codes. My 5.5 also has the AT light on the lower right panel flashing when I first turn on the car and then it disappears.
And it is confirmed that the SET light flashes when cruise is set.

People have that problem most likely because the computer wont let the cruise control engage when there is a burnt out light.
The LED tail lights don't draw anywhere near the current that the stock bulbs do, so the ECU thinks that a bulb is burnt out, which is why you need the resistors to fool the ECU.
