Last night after my rigorous week of break-in and having my intake installed yesterday, I went out to see what my Max could do. I was just cruzin and came upon a very nice TL-S with rims and spoiler and oem bodykit. We were just riding about 45mph and I was in the lane to the right of him and a full car length behind just riding. I guess he saw me come up because he just floored it and I heard the thing screemin', so I floored it and pulled up to his front wheel with my bumper by second. When I shifted in to third I pulled at least 2 car-lengths on him. At the next light we shared compliments about each other's cars and I told him that I traded my 2000 TL for the 02 Max and I knew how sweet TL's were. He had nothing but compliments about my car and how I pulled him hard at about 80. Very cool guy - especially for a TL-S owner... they tend to think they are badasses.

P.S. I am a 2002 Max automagic with just an intake and 1013 miles on the odometer.

Nice bro! I donno about the 00's, but the '02 TL Type-S look SWEET. I love the body kits on those things! They are nice in and out with the Navi and are F A S T. Just not fast enough for the Maxima. Good kill.

Nice kill.But are u sure it was a TL-S or a TL cause in the tl forum a guy admitted getting beatin by a maxima.But he was a TL not a TL-s.

 

I am sure it was a TL-S. He even said that because we have about equal power that he thought it would be closer than that. It was all in good fun. Believe me, I know how fast those cars are, but I also know when they shift to 4th - they might as well give up.
